“Less than a century ago, a citizen could live free from the prying eyes of the U.S. Government, financial institutions, and social media companies.  If a person chose to do so, they could own a home and a plot of land, provide for themselves, and live their entire life without so much as a text message, email, ill-fated letters in their mailbox, nonstop threatening phone calls, and especially an unwelcome knock on the door of their home.  Americans are crying out to their leaders to reign in the privacy invasion abuses that are increasing in our country.”
